![]() ![]() I selected a music torrent (freely available concert recording ) that was completed and downloaded to the "Music" folder on the external drive. Now, here's the somewhat odd aspect (and reason why I used the word "directly" in thread title): On the PC, I found that I am able to access some directories using Utorrent. I then connected HDD to TV again, and it still reads the disk with no issues, showing all files and folders are still present. I cannot perform a chkdsk because "Windows can't access the disk". ![]() The same thing occurs in Windows Disk Management. I have tried using "Diskinternal Linux Reader" and while it can see the drive as connected to the PC, it is also unable to read any specific files or folders. The TV was able to read all the files/directories, but when I tried connecting the HDD to my PC again, I get a "Access is denied" error message from Windows. I recently purchased a new Samsung TV (UN55JU7100) and connected a Toshiba External USB 3.0 HDD to one of it's USB ports.
